Cucumber Downy Mildew Confirmed in Henderson County, NC | NC State

FROM Extension Plant Pathology: Cucurbit downy mildew (CDM) was confirmed on a cucumber leaf from a commercial field in Henderson County on July 20, 2018. This is the first report of CDM in western NC. Read more about the first report of CDM in western N.C. this year.

Cucumber downy mildew reported in North Carolina | North Carolina Cooperative Extension

Downy mildew, a devastating disease on cucumbers caused by the oomycete Pseudoperonospora cubensis, has been reported in North Carolina. It was observed on cucumber in Duplin (June 1, 2016) and Sampson (June 27, 2016) counties. The field had 1-5% disease incidence, with the infected plant/leaf having 35-40% disease severity. Watermelon downy mildew reported in North Carolina | North Carolina Cooperative Extension

Downy mildew, caused by the oomycete Pseudoperonospora cubensis, has been reported in watermelon in North Carolina. It was observed in Nash county (June 17, 2016) and the field presented 5% incidence with each infected plant/leaf having 50% severity.
