Southwest Michigan vegetable update – June 12, 2019
Cucumbers, yellow squash and zucchini grown as transplants and placed under low tunnels are now in bloom and the tunnel material is being removed so bees can access flowers.
Southeast Michigan vegetable update – June 12, 2019
Cucumbers on plastic are vining out and flowering. No downy mildew spores have been caught in our area to date.
Pumpkin planting has begun. Get herbicides on before plants emerge, which may be quick if soils are warm in your area.
