May 1 & 8 Vegetable Updates | MSU Extension Vegetables
The Michigan State University Vegetable Pathology Lab teams up with Michigan State Extension to publish bi-monthly vegetable updates throughout the growing season. Most regions of Michigan are not reporting any activities with cucurbit crops at this time. The East Michigan vegetable update reported:
Vine crops are up in the trays. Some watermelons are getting leggy. Plastic is being laid in preparation for early melons and watermelons under hotcaps or low tunnels.
Michigan State Vegetable Pathology recently published the article: Broad-spectrum fungicides for vegetables with a table of fungicide recommendations for vegetables including cucumbers, melons, pumpkins and squash.
